After the credit card is overdue, it is legal and compliant for the bank to conduct a door-to-door visit. Debtors need to pay attention and try to cooperate with the bank's work, but they don't need to be too nervous, let alone avoid or ignore it.
The procedures for external bank visits have detailed regulations. If it exceeds the scope of these regulations, it will be a violation. Understanding the bank's procedures can also help debtors deal with their debts.
1. Departure: Collection personnel will not come to the door alone. Each visit is usually attended by two outside visitors, carrying the debtor's credit card debt collection materials, letters of introduction, recording pens, cameras and other equipment.
2. Notification: The bank will call the cardholder to explain the visit time. The person in charge will record the arrival time and notify the foreign visitor of the exact location and visit time at any time.
3. Taking photos and recording: The foreign interviewer takes photos and records of the environment around the target address, and records the entire process.
4. Visit: If the cardholder is found during the visit, the visitor will immediately identify himself and indicate his intention, check the customer's mobile phone, home phone number, contact address and other information, and ask the customer to sign for payment. Notice or lawyer's letter, etc. If the debtor is not present and relatives or family members are present, the interviewer will inquire in detail about the relationship between the debtor and the debtor to understand the debtor's financial situation and current situation, ask the related person to convey the repayment information and ask the related person to make repayment as appropriate. Ask the relevant person to sign a reminder notice or lawyer's letter on their behalf.
If no one is at home, the interviewer will first call the cardholder’s residential phone number, listen for ringing sounds inside the door, and then call the debtor’s mobile phone to verify the residential address. At the same time, experienced foreign interviewers will conduct interviews and surveys around the debtor's residence, looking for the cardholder's neighbors, property owners, neighborhood committees, village committees, police officers, security guards, etc. to collect relevant information about the cardholder. If the cardholder has a fixed private mailbox, the foreign interviewer will put the legal notice into an envelope, mark "Do not open and read unless you are the person" and put it into the borrower's mailbox.
