Dual-currency card refers to a bank card with both RMB account and foreign currency account. In China, UnionPay is usually a dual-label card jointly issued with VISA, MasterCard or JCB. The card numbers of these cards mostly start with 4 or 5, and the "UnionPay" logo is affixed to the upper right corner of the front of the card, and the VISA or MasterCard logo is affixed to the lower right corner.
In the case that foreign exchange has not been fully liberalized, the dual-currency card can be freely exchanged for RMB and foreign currency within a certain amount, but only a certain foreign currency exchange fee is required. However, at present, many domestic banks have begun to issue full-currency credit cards, which can be spent anywhere in the world, all in RMB, and free of foreign currency exchange fees, which is more convenient than dual-currency credit cards.
