Why is the credit limit available on a credit card higher than the credit limit? Pay attention to these things
When we apply for a credit card, the bank will grant a credit limit. Our maximum available limit cannot exceed the credit limit. However, sometimes many cardholders check the available credit limit and find that it is higher than the credit limit. They are a little unclear as to what is going on. In fact, there are two main reasons, which I will introduce today.

Why is the available limit of a credit card higher than the credit limit? Usually the available limit of a credit card is higher than the credit limit. One reason may be that there is an overpayment in the account; the other reason is that there is a temporary limit in the account. 1. There is an overpayment in the account, which means that the amount exceeds the credit card limit given by the bank. It may be due to accidentally depositing money to the credit card or transferring money, or using the credit card to make purchases and then repaying the money, but then returning the money. If you return along the original route, it will be superimposed on the credit card limit and become an overpayment, thus increasing the available limit of the credit card. Many cardholders plan to withdraw the money when they have overpayments on their cards. However, many banks charge handling fees for overpayment withdrawals. It is recommended that they be used for card consumption or online payment. If you plan not to use the card for a long time, you must eliminate the overpayment as soon as possible, otherwise it may become a bad debt if you do not use the card for more than 180 days. 2. The account has a temporary limit. The temporary limit is the emergency limit provided by the bank to the credit card. In addition to the automatic increase, the cardholder can also actively apply for the temporary limit from the bank when the limit is insufficient for business trips, overseas trips, marriages, etc. The biggest difference between fixed quotas is that they have a usage period, which is usually 1 to 3 months. The temporary quota will only be used when the fixed quota is used up. If you use the temporary quota, it will be included in the minimum repayment amount of the bill for one period, and you must repay it in one go. The unused quota will automatically expire when it expires.
