Many friends are asking whether there will be any impact if a credit card is overdue for one day? In fact, it doesn’t matter much if your credit card is overdue for one day. At present, most banks provide cardholders with a "time tolerance" service, so cardholders can enjoy a repayment buffer period. This is due to the agreement in the "China Bank Card Industry Self-Discipline Convention": Each bank provides cardholders with a "tolerance and time service" with a certain limit and graceful repayment period. But every bank is different, some are 2 days, some are 3 days, and some do not provide a buffer period.
If you are not sure, you can contact the issuing bank of your credit card and ask. Therefore, if it is two or three days past the credit card payment date, it is still not considered overdue. But if it exceeds three days, it can be considered overdue. The bank will calculate interest at 0.5% per day, and the overdue record will also be retained in your credit data.
If the overdue time is more than 1-3 days, or even overdue, do not rush to cancel the card. The first thing you need to do is to repay the debt, and then continue to use the card. If you accumulate good card usage records, you can overwrite the previous records with new records. Therefore, it is better to repay in advance a few days before the repayment date to avoid overdue payments.
The time limit is generally three days after the final repayment date. Cardholders who pay their debts within these three days can automatically enjoy the time limit service without any adverse consequences. However, the extended time service of some banks is quite special. Cardholders holding credit cards from these banks should pay attention to the relevant regulations to avoid affecting their credit records:
First, ICBC does not have the extended time service. After the last repayment date, Penal interest must be calculated;
Second, the waiting time for Agricultural Bank of China and Bank of Beijing is only two days;
Third, the waiting time for China Construction Bank, CITIC Bank, China Everbright Bank, and Citibank The service requires cardholders to actively apply.
If we pass the grace period and still have not paid the minimum repayment, will it affect the credit report?
The answer is still not necessarily! When you go to the bank to upload the record to the credit report overdue, some banks will only affect the credit report if the payment has not been repaid by the next bill date. That is to say, the next billing day is the ultimatum. During this period, you will be charged penalty interest at most, and your credit will be temporarily saved.
If the Agricultural Bank of China, China Construction Bank, China Merchants Bank, CITIC, Minsheng, China Everbright, and Postal Savings Bank of China fail to pay the minimum repayment amount after the specified period, they will be recorded as overdue and a credit report will be filed.
