By understanding the upgrade methods of some banks, there are two main ways: card transfer and reapplication.

The customer service staff will inquire about the basic information of the credit card you provided, and the system will automatically judge whether it can be upgraded. If it can be upgraded, the account will remain unchanged and a new gold card will be issued to you. After the new card is issued and activated, the old card (Puka) can no longer be used, just cut it. Banks that can be upgraded in this way are: CITIC, ICBC, etc.

2. Apply for a gold card directly.

You cannot directly upgrade the card level. If you need a gold card, you can try to apply for a gold card from another card. These banks mainly include China Merchants Bank, China Guangfa Bank and Bank of Communications.

Gold upgrade platinum card

It is mainly divided into two upgrade methods: card transfer and reapplication.

Not much to explain, just like Puka upgrading to a gold card. But even fewer banks can upgrade directly from gold card to platinum card. At present, I understand that CITIC can do this. ICBC can do the same, but if you call and know that you can upgrade, you need to fill out the platinum card application form at the outlet.

2. Apply directly.

With regard to upgrading a gold card to a platinum card, many banks do not support direct card transfer, and they need to fill in the application materials themselves. For example, Guangfa, Bank of Communications and China Merchants Bank. However, CMB Credit Card can be applied in the following two ways:

Method 1: The credit card limit already held is close to 50,000 yuan, and the application for platinum card needs to be handled at the outlet. In addition to filling in the application form, you need to provide more economic proof such as a copy of your ID card and work certificate.

Method 2: Apply in the Pocket Life App and enter my credit line. If you can upgrade the high-end card online, there will be a corresponding interface that says "upgrade the high-end card to"; Otherwise, it will not be displayed.
