Huangmei county is high in the north and low in the south, showing a three-level slope. Huangmei county has vast waters, numerous rivers, lakes and reservoirs, and dense ponds. There are 34 rivers, 29 lakes, 24 large, medium and small reservoirs, and the Yangtze River waterway is 59.2 kilometers. The county's available hydraulic resources have an installed capacity of 20,000 kilowatts.
