What is a prebaked anode?
The prebaked anode is made of about 80% calcined petroleum coke and about 20% coal tar pitch. It is heated to about 120℃ to make anode paste, and then the anode paste is shaped into a green anode block, which is called prebaked anode. The baked anode they are talking about is the anode of aluminum, which is the carbon block after aluminum is baked. It is used as the anode of electrolytic aluminum.
