What's the difference between 606 1 aluminum plate, 7075 aluminum plate and 6063 aluminum plate?
These three alloys have different compositions, different mechanical properties and different product uses.

First, the alloy composition is different.

606 1 aluminum plate and 6063 aluminum plate are all 6 series aluminum plates. The composition of 6 series aluminum plate is Al-Mg-Si alloy, and 7075 aluminum plate belongs to 7 series aluminum plate, and the composition is Al-Zn alloy.

The silicon content of 606 1 aluminum plate is 0.4-0.8, the magnesium content is 0.8- 1.2, the silicon content of 6063 aluminum plate is 0.2-0.6, and the magnesium content is 0.45-0.9. The hardness of 606 1 is higher than that of 6068.

7075 is an aluminum alloy with zinc as the main alloying element, but sometimes a small amount of magnesium and copper are added. Among them, superhard aluminum alloy contains zinc, lead, magnesium and copper alloy, which is close to the hardness of steel and can be strengthened by heat treatment. This is a high-strength, heat-treatable alloy with common corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties.

Second, the mechanical properties are different.

606 1 aluminum plate and 6063 aluminum plate belong to hard aluminum, and 7075 aluminum plate belongs to ultra-hard aluminum, also known as aviation aluminum. Hardness and strength are the main differences between them.

Brinell hardness of 606 1-T6 aluminum plate is ≥ 95hb;

Brinell hardness of 6063-T6 aluminum plate ≥ 73HB;

Brinell hardness of 7075-T6 aluminum plate ≥ 150HB.

Third, the products have different uses.

606 1 aluminum plate requires various industrial structures to have certain strength, weldability and high corrosion resistance, such as pipes, rods, profiles and plates used for manufacturing trucks, tower buildings, ships, trams, furniture, mechanical parts and instrument processing.

6063 alloy aluminum plate is used as extrusion material for building profiles, irrigation pipes and vehicles, benches, furniture and fences.

7075 aluminum plate is used to manufacture aircraft structures and other high-stress structural parts and molds that require high strength and strong corrosion resistance.
