Labels and documents

Products within the scope of RoHS 2 directive must display CE mark, manufacturer's name and address, and serial number or batch number. All parties who need to know more detailed conformity information can find relevant information in the product EU conformity statement created by the manufacturer (brand owner) responsible for design or the EU representative.

The regulation also requires most participants in the product supply chain (importers and distributors) to keep and check the document, and ensure that the compliance process is followed and the correct language translation instructions are provided.

The manufacturer must keep some documents proving conformity, which are called technical documents or technical records. The directive requires manufacturers to use the test data of all materials or follow a unified standard (IEC 63000: 20 16 is the only standard when writing this article).

Regulators may ask for this document, or more likely to get specific data from it, because it may be very large.
