The European battlefield is dominated by the armored cluster combat mode of aircraft and tanks, hence the name "Blitzkrieg" in Germany. In the early period of World War II, Germany swept Europe with lightning. Hundreds of tanks are put into a battle, still of average size. The two sides of the Kursk Conference have invested nearly 8,000 tanks. What is this concept?
I checked, from 1926 to 1945, the total output of Japanese tanks in recent 20 years is only over 6,500. Even if Japan took out all its possessions in the past 20 years, it would not be as much as the Soviet Union and Germany fought for a parliament. During World War II, the annual output of any country in the United States, Germany and the Soviet Union was more than this. The United States produced 53,500 vehicles in 42-43 years.
Japanese tanks are not only incomparable in quantity, but also poor in quality. Japanese tanks won the reputation of fighting tanks in the Pacific War. In the eyes of American soldiers, a Japanese soybean tank is not much bigger than a toy tank. Japan's main tank, the Type 95 light tank, weighs only over 7 tons. It is a compliment to say that it is a light tank.
There is also a lighter Type 92 light tank, which weighs only as much as a pickup truck. Japan's Type 97 medium tank is one of the best, only 15 tons, barely reaching the standard of European light tanks. The American Sherman tank can only be called a medium-sized tank in the European battlefield, with a total weight of 33 tons. It's easy to put a bean tank behind the Sherman tank.
It is not useless to put the Japanese army in Europe. Its naval strength is far stronger than that of Germany. Germany has two giant battleships, Bismarck and Tirpitz, with a displacement of 42,000 tons and equipped with 380mm cannons, which once defeated the British battleship Hood.
Japan's Yamato and Musashi battleships, with a full displacement of 72,000 tons, are the largest battleships ever built by mankind, and the caliber of the main gun has also increased by one level, reaching an astonishing 460 mm. In addition, there are more than a dozen aircraft carriers in Japan, and the number in Germany is zero.
If you put the Japanese army in Europe, don't even think about attacking the Soviet Union. The Battle of Nomenkan is a good example. Those small countries that eat Europe will not be as smooth as Germany. Poland, Czech Republic and France are tough bones. Even if it can be won in the end, Japan will have to spend a lot of effort.
The focus is on Britain. If the German army is replaced by the Japanese army, it is hard to say whether Britain can hold the mainland. It was precisely because the British navy contained the German navy that the Germans could not cross the English Channel in World War II. It is estimated that being a Japanese soldier will be another scene. As an island country, the Japanese army also focuses on the development of the navy, and the naval strength of the two countries is comparable.
Being able to fight fiercely with the US navy in the Pacific for three or four years also shows that the strength of the Japanese navy is definitely not weak. It is hard to say whether the Japanese navy can completely suppress the British navy. It is quite certain to ensure that the Japanese army can cross the tens of kilometers wide English Channel, and the rest will be handed over to the army and air force.
Japanese tanks and armored vehicles may not be dominant, but the samurai spirit of Japanese soldiers can definitely keep the British away. On the battlefield in Southeast Asia, the British army was defeated by the Japanese army. At the Battle of yenangyaung, 7,000 British troops were surrounded by 4,000 Japanese troops. If it weren't for Sun Liren's rescue, it is estimated that jiaozi will be covered.
In the battle with the Japanese army, the fighting capacity shown by the British army is really not so good. The British army is more mechanized than the Japanese army, but the individual combat effectiveness of the Japanese army is obviously stronger than that of the British army. The Japanese are notoriously fierce and rarely surrender. After the defeat, they would rather commit suicide than be captured, which even the Germans were ashamed of. On the other hand, in the case of more than half of the casualties, the British army may raise a white flag.
When it comes to the Japanese air force, it is estimated that there is only the Zero fighter, which ranks among the best in the famous aircraft in World War II. At the beginning of the Pacific War, even the American army was at a loss. What Britain could match was the Spitfire fighter. In the field of heavy bombers, Britain has taken four Lancaster heavy bombers, and Japan's Type 97 bomber can only be regarded as medium-sized.
Generally speaking, if the German army was replaced by the Japanese army in World War II, the battlefield situation in Europe would be completely different. The Japanese army simply did not have the strength to attack the Soviet Union, and the Moscow Conference and the Stalingrad Conference would be out of the question. If the Japanese army is bent on attacking Britain, it is possible to win Britain.
What will happen if Germany moves to Asia? German weapons and equipment are much better than Japanese. Panther tanks with more than 30 tons can only be considered as medium-sized, and tiger tanks with a weight of 50 to 60 tons can now be called main battle tanks. The 88mm tank gun can blow a Japanese bean tank into parts with one shot.
German army divisions are generally divided into three types: infantry divisions, armored grenadiers divisions and armored divisions. The Japanese army adopts the division system. The number of Group A is between 12000 and 17000, and it is also divided into three groups: A, B and C. Among them, Division A has the strongest fighting capacity and the largest number, usually more than 20,000 people.
The main guns equipped by the German infantry divisions are all above 100mm, while the main guns equipped by the Japanese army are 76mm mountain guns, which are inferior in quantity and quality.
In terms of individual equipment, the German mg42 machine gun was the fastest machine gun at that time, and the highest firing rate could reach 1500 rounds per minute, which was simply a nightmare for infantry. The theoretical firing rate of Japanese crooked machine guns is 500 rounds per minute, but actually it is only 120 rounds per minute. The actual firing rate of Japanese Type 92 heavy machine gun is 200 rounds per minute. German machine guns are not good at all, whether in firing rate or effective range.
Theoretically, an ordinary German infantry division can defeat a full Japanese A division, not to mention that there are a large number of armored grenadiers and armored divisions in Germany. At that time, China's equipment was completely backward, and it seemed unable to cope with the Japanese army. If we have to deal with a stronger German army, won't we just be beaten?
I don't think so. German tank armored cluster is more suitable for fighting in the great plains like Europe. When we encounter a country with mountainous and hilly landforms, the power of tank and armored cluster will be greatly reduced. It may be ok in the North China Plain in the northeast, but in the south, the water system is developed, the mountains are high and the forests are dense, and the tanks and armored forces will have a headache.
Tanks and armored vehicles can only attack along highways, and occasionally it is ok to deal with hills with relatively gentle slopes. Steep mountains are definitely not acceptable. At that time, the traffic situation in China was quite backward. The vast rural areas were still paved with stone roads, and tanks and cars could not pass at all. This was also an important reason why Japanese invaders rarely equipped tanks.
At that time, many bridges in China were stone arch bridges or wooden bridges, and steel structure cement bridges were rare. The carrying capacity of these bridges is relatively low, and German tanks are basically above 30 tons. This kind of road condition must make German tanks angry, but this kind of traffic condition is quite beneficial to us. Ambushing in a pass is like catching a turtle among birds.
If the Germans give up heavy equipment and go into battle lightly, it is equivalent to giving up their greatest advantage. Personally, I think that under the topographical conditions of our country, the Germans may not be as good as the Japanese, for the following reasons:
First, the Japanese and we belong to the yellow race, and there is little difference in culture and eating habits. Germans are typical Europeans, and they will definitely be a little unaccustomed when they come to our site. The climatic conditions in East Asia are also different from those in Europe. Sometimes it is not the opponent who defeats the enemy, but external factors such as the environment. Such examples are common in history. For example, Napoleon and Hitler both tried to conquer Russia, but both lost to the cold.
Second, the Japanese people's physique is similar to ours, and they can better adapt to the climate in East Asia and the terrain conditions in the mountains and forests in East Asia. For example, East Asians should be better at drilling ravines, climbing mountains, digging tunnels and climbing trees. If nothing else, as far as carrying hunger is concerned, I think East Asians are stronger. They are really hungry. Leaves and bark can satisfy their hunger. It is difficult for Germans to do this.
Third, in terms of light weapons, Japanese equipment is more dominant. Look at the German light equipment. Mg42 general machine guns are fired more than 0/000 rounds per minute, and there are quite a few crooked machine guns that can hit Japan. And mp4 submachine guns. These weapons are cool, of course, but they put a lot of pressure on logistics. If the road condition is poor, it can only be carried by horses or people, so the ammunition consumption is underestimated. The Japanese light equipment is more like tailor-made for the East Asian battlefield.
Fourth, this is particularly important. It is difficult to distinguish Japanese from China in appearance. In addition, the Japanese deliberately invaded China for many years and trained a large number of China experts. These spies have top-notch China capabilities. You can mix fish with pearls in the crowd, spy on information or do some damage, which is hard to prevent. Germans can't do this. The appearance gap is too big. It can be seen at a glance from a distance that it is several times more difficult for Germans to engage in espionage in China.
Fifth, the Japanese army has stronger fighting willpower. Under the control of the idea of loyalty to the emperor and the spirit of Bushido, the Japanese army is more like a group of animals that have lost their humanity, and their combat effectiveness is extremely fierce. They launched malicious attacks and even killed their own people. After the defeat, they would rather commit suicide than surrender. This is vicious, and it is estimated that even the Germans are not as good as themselves.
In a word, if the Japanese army is replaced by the German army, the German army can only occupy cities in our country, and its sphere of influence is limited to the surrounding cities, which is helpless to the vast rural areas. In this case, the sphere of influence is not as big as that of the Japanese invaders. The above is just my personal opinion. Please leave a comment.
