Futures option refers to the right to buy and sell related contracts (in this case, futures contracts) at a specific time and at a specific price, but not the obligation.
Futures classification:
1. Agricultural products futures: mostly bulk agricultural, animal husbandry or forest products and their finished products, mainly including grain and oil products, animal husbandry products, forest products and cash crops.
2. Industrial futures: mainly industrial basic raw materials. There are mainly nonferrous metals, ferrous metals and precious metals.
3. Energy futures: The main categories are crude oil, fuel oil, light diesel oil, gasoline and propane.
4. Exchange rate futures: the target is the exchange rate of various freely convertible currencies.
5. Interest rate futures: the trading targets are various government bonds, commercial paper and short-term interest rates.
6. Stock index futures: The main trading targets are representative stock price indexes, such as the US Standard & Poor's 500 Index, the US Financial Times Index, the Nikkei 225 Index and the China Hang Seng Index.
