What does financial futures include?
Financial futures are generally divided into three categories: currency futures, interest rate futures and index futures.
1 currency futures: futures with currency as the target, such as euro against dollar, pound against dollar, dollar against yen, etc. But there is no RMB futures yet.
2 interest rate futures: interest rate futures are based on bonds, usually treasury bonds futures. There is interest rate risk in bonds, and bond prices fluctuate with interest rates.
3 Index futures: Index futures are based on stock indexes, and the targets of China's stock index futures are SSE 50, CSI 300 and CSI 500.
Among the above futures, the only financial futures listed in China are interest rate futures and index futures, and the threshold of funds required for opening an account is relatively high. With the continuous development of China's economy and the acceleration of RMB internationalization, it is only a matter of time before foreign exchange futures are listed in the future.
