Shangdu County is located in the middle of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, northeast of Wulanchabu City, with jurisdiction over 6 towns and 4 townships, with a total area of 4,353 square kilometers. The average altitude is above 1400 meters, and the annual rainfall is about 300 mm.
Shangdu County is rich in resources, energy and convenient transportation.
