What subjects should futures intermediaries take?
China Futures Association decided to hold five qualification examinations for futures practitioners in 2008. The relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:

First, the organization and leadership of the examination

China Futures Association is responsible for organizing the qualification examination.

Second, the application conditions

1. At least 18 years old, with full capacity for civil conduct;

2. Have a high school or a nationally recognized education equivalent to high school or above;

3. Good conduct and good professional ethics;

4. No serious illegal record in the last three years.

Third, the examination subjects

The qualification examination for futures practitioners consists of two subjects: basic knowledge of futures and futures laws and regulations. Single subject examination time 100 minutes.

Fourth, the time and place of the exam

The first examination time is from March 6th to March 13, April 19, and 20th in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Wuhan.

The third examination time is from August 6th to August 13 to September 13 and 14, and the locations are Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Changsha.

Candidates can choose to take the exam at the time and place specified above.

Sixth, the registration method

Registration takes the form of online registration. Candidates log on to the website of China Futures Association and register as required.

The registration fee is only for 70 yuan (excluding the textbook fee). After the registration begins, please refer to the registration instructions for specific payment methods, invoice application, admission ticket printing and other related matters.

Seven, examination syllabus and designated teaching materials

For the exam outline before July 2008, please refer to the website of China Futures Association "Outline of the First and Second Qualification Examination for Futures Practitioners in 2008".

Designated textbook of basic knowledge of futures: Futures Market Tutorial (5th edition) (edited by China Futures Association and China Financial and Economic Publishing House) and Corrigendum to Futures Market Tutorial (5th edition); The designated textbook of futures laws and regulations: Compilation of Futures Laws and Regulations (Second Edition).
