According to the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Registration Regulations, after the vehicle reaches the scrapping standard, it needs to apply to the vehicle management office for scrapping, and then it needs to be sent to the recycling enterprise for dismantling, and then it needs to go back to the vehicle management office to apply for canceling the vehicle file, which can avoid some unnecessary troubles. In addition, after the vehicle reaches the scrapping standard, it is not allowed to continue driving, otherwise the traffic control department will carry out compulsory scrapping and impose a fine.

Measures for the Administration of Scrap Car Recycling

No unit or individual may sell, give away or otherwise transfer scrapped cars to units or individuals that are not scrapped car recycling enterprises; Don't dismantle the scrap car yourself. Scrap car recycling enterprises shall register scrapped cars one by one; If it is found that the recovered scrapped cars are suspected of theft, robbery or other crimes, it shall report to the public security organ in time. Vehicle scrapping process: the owner of a motor vehicle holds the identity certificate, motor vehicle registration certificate, motor vehicle driving license and motor vehicle number plate to the business department of the motor vehicle dismantling factory to fill out the Application Form for Stopping, Restarting/Cancelling Motor Vehicle Registration. Go to the license plate management post and wait for the notice to collect the license plate. Register and accept the application, and issue a notice of car scrapping for vehicles that have reached the service life. For motor vehicles that have not reached the age of scrapping, if they meet the standards of scrapping after being identified by motor vehicle inspection posts, a notice of scrapping will be issued. The driver chooses a recycling enterprise that meets the requirements with the notice to send the vehicle to disintegration. After viewing the notice, the recycling enterprise will disassemble and take photos of the vehicle. The engine is required to be separated from the vehicle, and the cylinder block of the engine should be broken. The driver holds the Change Order, XX Province Updated Automobile Technical Appraisal Form, Scrap Car Recycling Certificate and photos of vehicle disintegration, which are checked and signed by the motor vehicle inspection post, and the license plate is recycled, submitted for approval according to regulations, and scrapped for registration.
