Brief introduction of AS resin
The scientific name of AS resin is acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer, which is a polymer compound formed by copolymerization of acrylonitrile and styrene. Generally containing 15%-50% styrene. Yellow to amber transparent solid. Density 1.06. It is thermoplastic. Not easy to change color. Not affected by dilute acid, dilute alkali, dilute alcohol and gasoline. But soluble in acetone, ethyl acetate, dichloroethylene, etc. Can be used as engineering plastics. Excellent heat resistance and solvent resistance. Used to make oil-resistant mechanical parts, instrument housings, instrument panels, battery boxes, tractor fuel tanks, battery housings, packaging containers, daily necessities, etc. It can also be stretched into monofilaments. But it is mainly used as a blend polymer for ABS resin production.
