What's the difference between monocular kinescope and bifocal kinescope?
Single-focus kinescope has only one focusing electrode, and dual-focus kinescope has two electrodes to adjust the definition in horizontal and vertical directions respectively. Usually, two picture tubes can be interchanged by changing the tube socket (the dual focus picture tube connects the two electrodes together, and the single focus picture tube focuses the other with a high-voltage bag), so it is better to use the original factory for safety and effect.
