The service life of motor vehicles is as follows:

(9) The service life of special operation vehicles with freight function is 15 years, and the service life of special operation vehicles without freight function is 30 years;
(10) Full trailers and dangerous goods transport semi-trailers are used 10 years, container semi-trailers are used for 20 years, and other semi-trailers are used 15 years;
(eleven) motorcycle use 12 years, other motorcycles use 13 years.
For small and micro taxi passenger cars (except pure electric vehicles) and motorcycles, the relevant departments of the people's governments of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government may, in light of local actual conditions, formulate regulations that are stricter than the above-mentioned service life, but the service life of small and micro taxi passenger cars shall not be less than 6 years, three-wheeled motorcycles shall not be less than1year, and other motorcycles shall not be less than1year.
Small and micro non-operating passenger cars, large non-operating cars and wheeled special mechanical cars have no service life limit.
The starting date of the service life of the motor vehicle shall be calculated according to the registration date, but if the registration formalities have not been completed for more than 2 years since the date of delivery, it shall be calculated according to the date of delivery.
The owner needs to bring relevant application materials to the vehicle management office to handle the formalities and conditions for delaying the scrapping of motor vehicles. The required procedures mainly include motor vehicle owner's identity certificate, motor vehicle driving license, motor vehicle registration certificate, motor vehicle third party liability compulsory insurance certificate and motor vehicle inspection form. After the owner submits the application, the vehicle management office will review and test the owner and the vehicle applying for delaying the car scrapping period according to the application materials. If the situation meets the requirements, the vehicle management office will issue a certificate agreeing to extend the car scrapping period.
Generally speaking, different types of vehicles have different delay times, which can be divided into the following situations:

1 1, semi-trailer, scrapped 10 years, can apply for extension to 15 years;
12, semi-trailer tractor, scrapped for 10 years, can apply for extension to 15 years;
13, three-wheeled agricultural vehicles, scrapped for 6 years, can apply for extension to 9 years;

15, tricycle, scrapped for 7 to 9 years, can apply for extension to 10 to 12 years;
16, for other motorcycles, the retirement life is 8 years to 10 years, which can be extended to10/year to 13 years;
