The main intermediary of the MPF The main intermediary of the MPF is a commercial entity registered by MPFA, which is engaged in the sales and promotion activities of the MPF. They may be authorized financial institutions or corporations registered under the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 57 1), or insurance companies or long-term business insurance brokers authorized under the Insurance Companies Ordinance (Chapter 4 1). MPF Affiliate Intermediary The MPF Affiliate Intermediary belongs to the main intermediary of the MPF, registered by MPFA, and carries out MPF sales and promotion activities on behalf of the main intermediary. The person may be an individual licensed under the Securities and Futures Ordinance to deal in securities or give advice on securities; Individuals registered under the Banking Ordinance (Chapter 155) who engage in securities trading or provide securities advice; Long-term business insurance agents appointed under the Insurance Companies Ordinance; Or the chief executive officer/business representative of an authorized long-term business insurance broker.
