Among those who changed careers, how helpful was your original major in helping you engage in the new industry?

I used to do Java programming, but after changing careers, I became a website editor. In fact, there is no direct help, but the change in the way I think about work has been of great help to me. When I was doing Java development in the past, there was a saying that everything is an object. Basically, just use the objects that can be used. Therefore, when editing a website, sometimes when I need to disrupt and recombine a certain paragraph of unordered text, I will directly search the Internet to see if there are any related sorting tools. If there is one, just use it directly. If not, just write a piece of code to read and sort it yourself. Sharpening the knife does not waste time chopping wood, and the work efficiency has improved a lot.
