Brief introduction of Zheng Weijian
Zheng Weijian is from Chaoshan, Guangdong. Born in 1943. The fourth son-in-law of the late Hong Kong billionaire Bao Yugang. 65438-0963 studied in the United States and obtained a doctorate from the University of Wisconsin. He used to be a teaching assistant and professor at Cornell University, specializing in cancer research and treatment. He also served as the chairman of the World Cancer Medical Organization and was awarded an academician of new york Cancer Memorial Hospital. From 65438 to 0989, he returned to Hong Kong and became the managing director and general manager of Global Group Investment Company, in charge of the group's bonds, stocks and cash in the United States. Dr. Zheng has held a number of important positions in the financial sector, including vice chairman and non-executive director of Hang Seng Bank, chairman of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, vice chairman of the International Stock Exchange Association, founding chairman of the Hong Kong Securities Institute, chairman of the steering committee to study the feasibility of establishing a school of finance and economics, director of the Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited, member of the International Advisory Committee of the World Federation of Big Enterprises and independent non-executive director of Standard Chartered Bank of Hong Kong.

Dr. Zheng is currently a director of Hong Kong Financial Research Center, an independent non-executive director of American International Assurance (Bermuda) Limited and an independent non-executive director of Ruian Real Estate. Dr. Zheng also participated in other public services in Hong Kong. 1999 to 200 1 year, served as chief adviser of the Central Policy Unit of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, member of the Greater Pearl River Delta Commercial Committee and member of the Strategic Development Committee. Dr Cheng is currently the Chairman of the Council for Sustainable Development and a member of the Judicial Officers Recommendation Committee. Dr. Zheng has been actively involved in the affairs between the Mainland and Hong Kong. He was appointed by the China Municipal Government as an adviser on Hong Kong affairs (1991-kloc-0/997), a member of the Preparatory Committee of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the National People's Congress, and a member of the Selection Committee of the first government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (1996- 1997). Dr. Zheng is now a member of the National Committee of the 11th China People's Political Consultative Conference. Dr. Zheng was appointed as an independent non-executive director of the Company on 24 May 2006.
