As international crude oil futures prices continue to rise, will domestic gasoline prices rise in the near future? How much room for growth is there? During a survey at major gas stations in Beijing, the reporter found that everyone generally believes that gasoline prices will rise, but there is no unanimous opinion as to how much.
Gasline prices will still rise
“As long as you drive, the price of gasoline will increase no matter how high it rises.” Wang Yusheng, a Beijing citizen, said in an interview with a reporter from China Economic Times that he felt that the current The price is already high enough. If it goes up again, you may have to choose to take the subway instead.
Gao Changjiu, an individual car owner in Chaoyang District, said in an interview with this reporter that although the price of gasoline is a bit high now, it is still barely affordable for an average family like his.
Tong Lixia, associate researcher at the International Market Research Department of the Institute of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce, said in an interview with a reporter from the China Economic Times that due to factors such as my country’s price mechanism, oil price adjustments are always one month late. Now the international As crude oil rises, domestic oil prices will adjust accordingly.
Niu Li, an economist at the Economic Forecast Department of the State Information Center, also pointed out in an interview with this reporter that there is still the possibility of an increase in gasoline prices. First, international crude oil futures prices have exceeded US$70 a barrel. Second, the problem of domestic oil price inversion has not been fundamentally resolved. In addition, looking at the price of gasoline alone, the short-term price adjustment will be very mild, with a small adjustment of a few percent, and a large adjustment is unlikely.
There are different opinions on how much the increase will be
Reporters learned from the Sinopec Group Yongfa gas station in Chaoyang District, Beijing that the current oil prices are: 90-proof gasoline 3.99 yuan per liter, 93-proof gasoline 4.26 yuan per liter Yuan per liter, No. 97 diesel is 4.54 Yuan per liter, and No. 0 diesel is 4.04 Yuan per liter. The current gasoline price was just adjusted in July this year. How much will the gasoline price increase in the future?
An anonymous gas station manager told reporters that the price of gasoline, especially No. 93, may rise to 4.5 yuan per liter.
Zhu Wangyou, deputy director of the Information Office of Sinopec Beijing Petroleum Branch, told the China Economic Times reporter on the phone that it was inconvenient to comment on this.
Niu Li also believes that gasoline prices may rise by 2 to 3 cents per liter. Niu Li also said that there is a possibility that the state will adjust the price twice more based on the existing price, depending on the trend of international crude oil prices. If crude oil prices continue to stay at the current price, domestic gasoline prices will also rise; if oil prices fall back soon in the recent trading days, it is unlikely to affect domestic gasoline prices.
"I personally feel that the price may rise to 5 or 6 yuan per liter, which is still acceptable." Tong Lixia said.
During the interview, experts believed that based on China’s actual situation, if the price of refined oil products kept rising at the same rate as the price of crude oil, the country might not be able to bear it. And if the difference between domestic oil prices and international oil prices is too large, it will easily bring a lot of trouble to the market, and there will be a lot of speculation and other unreasonable phenomena. Therefore, to solve the problem of high gasoline prices, we must first solve the problem of inverted oil prices. At the same time, from the perspective of environmental protection, we encourage all people to save oil.
