Dual-phase steel 2205 has high strength, good impact toughness and good overall and local stress corrosion resistance.
After the chemical composition of 2205 dual-phase steel is solution annealed by1900/1922f (1040/1080c), the ideal microstructure of 50 α/50 γ can be obtained. If the heat treatment temperature is higher than 2000°F, the ferrite composition may increase. Like other duplex stainless steels, 2205 alloy is easily affected by intermetallic phase precipitation.
Intermetallic phase precipitates between1300 f ~1800 f, and the precipitation speed is the fastest at1600 f.
Expand the capacity of data recovery room:
1, uniform corrosion
Due to the contents of chromium (22%), molybdenum (3%) and nitrogen (0. 18%), the corrosion resistance of 2205 is better than that of 3 16L and 3 17L in most environments.
2. Local corrosion resistance
The contents of chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen in dual-phase steel 2205 make it have strong resistance to pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion in oxidizing and acidic solutions.
3. Stress corrosion resistance
The dual-phase structure of stainless steel is helpful to improve the stress corrosion cracking resistance of stainless steel. Under the action of certain temperature, strain, oxygen and chloride, chloride stress corrosion will occur in austenitic stainless steel. Because these conditions are not easy to control, the use of 304L, 3 16L, 3 17L is restricted in this respect.
4, corrosion fatigue resistance
The high strength and corrosion resistance of dual-phase steel 2205 make it have high corrosion fatigue strength. Processing equipment is easily affected by corrosive environment and loading cycle, and the characteristics of 2205 are very suitable for this kind of application.
