Zhang Qing 1966 was born in Shanghai, graduated from Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and 1989 went to the United States to study, obtaining master's and doctoral degrees. During his stay in the United States, he won many prizes in piano competitions, performed with famous American orchestras, held hundreds of concerts and trained dozens of graduate students. After returning to China, he has been devoting himself to cultivating piano playing talents of ethnic minorities in China.

1966 was born in Shanghai on May 23rd. Grandpa participated in the heroic sacrifice of the New Fourth Army in Hubei, Henan and Anhui Anti-Japanese Battlefield. Grandma sent Zhang Qing's father to the New Fourth Army. 1949, my father liberated Shanghai with the Chen Yi army and was assigned to the Chinese Department of Fudan University in Shanghai to study history. After graduation, I was assigned to work in the Shanghai branch of the General Staff of China People's Liberation Army.

Zhang Qing was a piano player since he was a child, and was admitted to an art school in middle school. After that, I studied composition with He, a famous composer in China. 1985 was admitted to the composition department of Shanghai Conservatory of Music with the first place in the whole department. 1989 was admitted to university of hartford, USA, studying for an artist's diploma. Subsequently, Zhang Qing, who graduated with a master's degree, was hired as a performer and composer by Lincoln Center.

1998 Zhang Qing is engaged in artistic creation and works as a Wall Street stock and futures broker. After 2003, he sold his house in Long Island, new york, and returned to Shanghai. During his ten years in Shanghai, Zhang Qing served as CEO of Xiong Wen Musical Instrument Company, artistic director of the International Art Center of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and director of the US-China Cultural Exchange Association. In 2007, he invested in China District of David Sino Jewelry Company and served as managing director.
