What is the a50 FTSE China Futures Index?
First of all, what is it? The FTSE China A50 Index was called Xinhua FTSE China A50 Index 20 10 years ago. It is a real-time tradeable index compiled by FTSE Russell Index Co., Ltd. (now FTSE Russell Index), one of the four largest index companies in the world, to meet the needs of investors in China and qualified foreign institutional investors (QFII), and listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX) as 1999. We should all be familiar with FTSE Russell. China A50 Index includes 50 companies with the largest market value in China A-share market, and their total market value accounts for 33% of the total market value of A-shares. The A50 index is also the only index that international investment institutions can directly invest overseas with China Stock Exchange as the target, and it is the index that best represents China A-share market. Many domestic and foreign investors regard this index as an accurate indicator to measure the China market.
