Bee industry "the first shop"
1980 After graduating from high school, Liu Xianmei came to Jiangshan County from Xialutou Village, Zhao's hometown, and learned skills from her eldest sister who opened a tailor shop in the city. Half a year later, the elder sister closed the tailor's shop and went out with her brother-in-law to keep bees. Liu Xianmei, who has basically learned tailoring skills, opened a tailor shop herself.
If Liu Xianmei is content to be a tailor, she may open a tailor shop in her life. But she is a considerate person. Jiangshan is the hometown of bees, and there are many people who keep bees. Liu Xianmei's grandfather and father are beekeepers, and later her sister and brother-in-law also went to all parts of the country to "chase flowers and collect honey". There are many beekeepers, and there are many honey and royal jelly to sell. Seeing the business opportunities, 1983, Liu Xianmei and her husband opened a "bee farmer's shop" to collect bee products from bee farmers and sell them all over the country. At that time, there were only two "beekeepers" in China.
At that time, there were not many people doing business and few competitors. In addition, the bee products business has developed rapidly. "At first, we mainly relied on telephone, telegraph and other means of communication to contact the outside market." Liu Xianmei said that they searched the phone book for pharmaceutical companies one by one, and then contacted them one by one to sell Jiangshan's bee products to Beijing, Henan, Fujian, Jilin, Heilongjiang and other places. Now well-known pharmaceutical companies such as "tonghua dongbao" and "Jilin Aodong" are her customers. 1984, her "Bee Farm Store" ranked first among all private enterprises in Jiangshan, and the tax paid accounted for one tenth of the total tax paid by private enterprises in Jiangshan Chengguan at that time. At that time, her tax payment reached several million yuan a year.
"At that time, about 60% of the bee products in Jiangshan were purchased and sold by us." Liu Xianmei said that they not only sell local bee products, but also sell tonics and nutriments produced by pharmaceutical factories to Jiangshan, where there are wholesale departments and retail departments, and the business is very big.
Life "Waterloo"
With the development of her career and the improvement of her life, Liu Xianmei has a new idea. 1992, Liu Xianmei thinks that her daughter is 8 years old, her career is developing steadily, and she wants to go to college for further study. After working in a tailor's shop for several years, I was interested in clothing, so I went to China Textile University to study fashion design at my own expense. She dropped all the business in the family.
After studying in China Textile University for one year, 1993 returned to her hometown and founded the first private clothing enterprise in Jiangshan as her second occupation. When she first set up a clothing factory, she put all her energy into setting up a factory to find customers and markets. At the beginning, the garment factory's business was a processing mode of "making wedding dresses for others", with small business volume, thin profits, slow enterprise development and only 30 to 40 employees. 1994, she contacted a foreign trade merchant and knocked on the door of foreign trade. In order to purchase noodles and accessories needed by foreign businessmen, she traveled through three provinces and cities and went to six cities, and finally found satisfactory fabrics; After the fabric is bought, she has been staring at every step of sewing the parking space in the workshop. The quality is guaranteed and the foreign businessmen are satisfied. Her garment factory has gradually developed into an enterprise specializing in processing and exporting garments.
While she was absorbed in the clothing factory, an unexpected serious crisis appeared. Because Liu Xianmei has not asked about the business dealings between bee products and health care products for several years, all the operating funds have been misappropriated for futures speculation. By the time she found the problem at 1995, all the money she had earned through years of hard work in business was lost. Because garment factories are basically processed with imported materials, they don't need liquidity, and there is not much investment in equipment for processing garments, only 200,000 in the early stage. In recent years, the profits of garment factories have also been used as working capital for the operation of bee products and health care products-of course, they have all lost money in futures. All the property in the family, only one house. This change really makes people want to cry.
After the accident, the clothing factory was forced to close down. With the help of friends, she went to other places alone and returned to her old job to make clothes.
Re-innovation performance
After working alone for three years, Liu Xianmei's garment processing career has expanded step by step at a new starting point. 1998, after accumulating a certain amount of capital, she returned to her hometown, leased a workshop of about 4,500 square meters from Jiangshan Tea Company, and founded Jiangshan Yimei Clothing Co., Ltd. ... which was rated as "the king of clothing production" by Jiangshan City and as a big taxpayer by Jiangshan State Taxation Bureau (only two private enterprises won this honor).
The "futures incident" dealt a heavy blow to Liu Xianmei's career and led to the breakdown of her family. She looks weak in appearance, but for more than ten years, she has not only been a single mother, but also trained her daughter to be the "No.1" in the local college entrance examination, shouldering the burden of career reconstruction. After many years of making foreign trade orders, Liu Xianmei has accumulated rich experience in the international clothing market in terms of clothing styles, fabric requirements and production specifications. In order to reduce intermediate links and improve enterprise efficiency, through hard work, she obtained the import and export right herself in 2000. In order to make the enterprise occupy a place in the international clothing market, she pays attention to the investment in science and technology, introduces new technologies and purchases new equipment. In 2002, Liu Xianmei invested millions of yuan to buy the factory originally leased by the tea company, which stabilized the production base. In recent years, the competition in the international clothing market has become increasingly fierce. At the same time, with the appreciation of RMB and the continuous reduction of export tax rebate, it has brought great pressure to export-oriented enterprises. Although the company's production situation is still booming, Liu Xianmei has a new idea. The company produces export clothing and has never had its own brand.
