As the name implies, monetary finance focuses on financial-related content, and studies monetary-related financial instruments and monetary banking, such as currency futures and foreign exchange transactions. Monetary economics has a wider scope, including national monetary policy, the development history of global monetary system, exchange rate determination theory, foreign trade transactions and so on.
