According to the background and casting stage, it can be divided into five types.
1. One type of Shunzhi:
The first type is "antique", which was cast from the first year of Shunzhi to eight years (1644 ~ 1651), and was stopped and recycled in the seventeenth year of Shunzhi. Including bare back, back symbol and back age value, in which the age value category includes back "one", "two" and "October 12" imitation of big money trial casting, and the back symbol category includes back star and back circle.
Because the antique Shunzhi money has obvious characteristics of Ming dynasty coins in terms of shape and casting technology, it is called "antique style". It is also because the money is backed by the characters of the undisciplined bureau, also known as the "undisciplined bureau" style, which is the only kind of money-making with the logo of the undisciplined bureau after the Qing Dynasty entered the customs.
2. Shunzhi style:
The second style is "single Chinese character style", which was cast from the first year of Shunzhi to the tenth year (1644 ~ 1653), and the money back was marked with a single Chinese character to cast the abbreviation of the money bureau, including the right word, the left word and the Chinese character.
Because there were many coin-casting bureaus in the early Shunzhi period, the characters of Qianbei Bureau were rich. * * Nineteen coin-casting bureaus were found, with 31 kinds of inscriptions, namely: right household, upper household, right worker, upper worker, right propaganda, right pro, upper pro, right extension, left extension, right cloud, right tong, right thistle, upper thistle and right original.
Among them, Shanggong and Shangxin have not been officially issued, and only a few samples of money are seen. It's rare to have money with words extended on the back, but there is no genuine money with words extended on the back. According to the old spectrum, there are no varieties such as Beiyouchang, Youning, Shangshan and Youshan. In the seventeenth year of Shunzhi, the antique-style and single-Chinese-character-style Shunzhi money were stopped together and were redeemed and destroyed.
General Examination of Qing Literature Volume XIII Coin Examination; "At the beginning of the country, it was still in its system. Later, there were Chinese characters, household characters and the names of provinces and towns. Those above the money curtain or to the right of the money curtain were all in the system of Shunzhi ten years ago." It shows that antique style and single Chinese character style are the early forms of Shunzhi money.
3. Three styles of Shunzhi:
The third style is "one Li" style, in which Qian wears a single Chinese character on the back and marks the casting bureau on the right, and the word "one Li" is written on the left. The casting time was from ten to fourteen years of Shunzhi (1653 ~ 1657), and the suspension time was two years of Kangxi (1663).
4. Four styles of Shunzhi:
The fourth style is "Manchu" style, in which "Baoquan" or "Baoyuan" are written in Manchu on the back of money, respectively. In the 14th year of Shunzhi (1657), the Ministry of Housing authorized all casting bureaus in the provinces to stop casting, and only the Baoquan Bureau of the Ministry of Housing and Baoyuan of the Ministry of Industry cast back the name money of Manchu Bureau.
"Food Goods in the Draft of the Qing Dynasty" records: "In the fourteenth year of Shunzhi, the money of the provincial bureau was not refined, so it was cast privately. If the pawn failed, it was cast at will, and Baoquan was appointed exclusively, and Baoyuan refined one-fourth of the money. The curtain was full of Manchu for private casting, which was limited to forgery. The current money was destroyed in March?"
It can be seen that Beijing households? The Second Bureau of Gongye changed the casting of Shunzhi back to Manchu "Baoquan"? "Baoyuan" emphasizes money in order to achieve the purpose of unified management and prevent private casting, and it is also the heaviest Xiaoping's money making in history. It took fourteen to eighteen years (1657 ~ 1661) to make money by backing Manchu script. The money was large and heavy, and the inscription on the back of the money was changed to double Manchu script, which was very different from that of Shunzhi before.
From this type, the money-making in the Qing Dynasty entered the real money-clearing era by following the Ming Dynasty, and the money-making in the form of "Baoquan" and "Baoyuan" continued until the Xuantong period in the late Qing Dynasty. Its appearance is of epoch-making significance.
5. Five styles of Shunzhi:
The fifth style is "Manchu-Chinese" style, and the back of money is abbreviated as Manchu and Chinese writing and casting bureau, respectively. The casting period was seventeen to eighteen years (166-1661) in Shunzhi.
according to the annals of the Qing dynasty, in the 17th year of Shunzhi (166), the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs re-established Shunzhi Tongbao's back-writing system. In addition to Baoquan Bureau and Baoyuan Bureau, it was allowed to reopen fifteen local money bureaus, and new money was minted according to the specifications of Shunzhi's four styles. Each article weighed one yuan and four cents, and its back-writing was written by the Chinese Bureau of the right provincial government bureau and left.

Historical background:
In 1644, the Qing army entered the customs, and Aisingiorro Fu Lin went to Beijing. In order to stabilize the chaotic situation of circulating coins, on the one hand, we selectively continue to use the old money of the Ming Dynasty, and on the other hand, we set up a central money bureau in Beijing to start casting "Shunye Tongbao" money. The weight of new money per article is set at one dollar to be exchanged with Ming money.
this move gradually unified the form of circulating money, laying a good foundation for restoring the national economy. However, the Qing government, which just entered the customs, did not carry out Shunzhi Tongbao money smoothly. It went through five important reforms, and finally completed the process of establishing the Qing Dynasty coinage system from the Ming Dynasty.
five forms of Shunzhi Tongbao money have been created through five currency reforms, which are the world-famous Shunzhi Five Styles. Each type of Shunzhi Tongbao is self-contained and interrelated, which provides colorful and interesting physical materials for our later collections and researchers.
