Reporter: It is said that you have made a very accurate prediction of the mid-term trend of the stock index for several months in a row, and you can accurately predict the high and low points every day. Some netizens call you "the best financial commentator in history".
Xu Yili: CCTV Securities Channel is different from ordinary channels because it is a professional channel. The attraction of this channel depends on the investor's trust in your major, and your content must be very useful for his investment. So when the channel first recruited commentators, the most important requirement was professionalism, and my major was to accurately grasp the market. In addition, the title of "the best financial commentator in history" is not very good, and anything related to "the best financial commentator in history" has no good result.
Reporter: How do you accurately grasp it in the stock market? What is your most satisfactory evaluation of yourself?
Xu Yili: When I was studying in Tsinghua, I was very interested in the stock market and futures market. At that time, I began to contact the chaotic operation of finance. I naturally like this kind of market, and I like the feeling of clicking the mouse in front of the computer to access funds. I feel very fulfilled. At that time, I was not good at interacting with people, but such a market provided people like me with many opportunities to express themselves.
In the days after the chaotic operation, my most accurate grasp is that after the bear market fell by 6,000 points, it peaked at more than 3,400 points in a short time, and then it was difficult to fall back. During this period, I can almost accurately understand the daily market trend. For example, before the opening today, I can almost accurately draw today's time-sharing chart. This kind of speculation based on financial psychology is not something that ordinary people can do.
Reporter: Is this kind of financial psychology academically called behavioral finance?
Xu Yili: Well, the combination of psychology and finance is the hottest part in the financial field now. First of all, we think the basic theory is that the market is chaotic because the brain is chaotic. The market is definitely not a complete market, and the stock price does not fluctuate at will, and there are certain rules. Just like a tree, you think its branches are randomly branched, but in fact it is regular, because it is still like a tree no matter how long it is. The same is true of the stock market, which may fluctuate randomly in the short term, but it has certain internal laws and certain trends. Let me give you an example. For example, if you flip a coin once, the probability of both parties is 50%. But if you have lost three times, and all of them are heads, then ask which side you will lose the fourth time. I believe your answer will not be 50/50. This is a psychological model in psychology.
In my eyes, chaotic operation method is a set of almost perfect financial investment concepts, trading strategies and in-out signals. However, the development of China's financial market is relatively late, and chaos theory is a relatively new idea, so there are few people studying chaotic operation methods in China now. The most perfect application fields of chaotic operation method are futures and foreign exchange, followed by gold, crude oil and stock market. I hope I can use my application in TV programs to attract jade and improve everyone's investment income.
Reporter: Do you need a lot of team support behind your program?
Xu Yili: You definitely need a team. Especially in the micro field, such as discussing sectors or individual stocks, it is impossible for one person to do it. There are nearly 100 people behind our team, and we need to investigate the listed companies. Xu Yili: "If I can't become a qualified Communist Youth League member, I won't submit an application for joining the party to the party organization for the time being." This is what he said two years ago. Xu Yili, 1980, from Zhejiang. 1998 entered the electronic department of Tsinghua with a high score of nearly 40 points higher than that of Zhejiang Tsinghua. In 2002, he was sent to the Institute of Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences for a master's degree with excellent undergraduate results, and at the same time he entered the National Development Research Institute (CCER) of Peking University for double-degree training. Now I am studying for a doctorate in finance. In April 2005, Xu Yili began to help prepare the CCTV Securities Information Channel before graduation. At that time, the securities channel plan had not yet started. After several months of hard preparation, the channel was officially launched in April 2006.
"I never thought I would be a commentator after the broadcast, because speaking itself is one of my weaknesses. I couldn't speak when I was 6 years old." Xu Yili said that it was an accidental opportunity for him to start as a commentator. Once, the program director noticed that the child was very diligent, although he didn't talk much, and often worked overtime to study late. He thought it was a useful material, so he specially called him over and asked him if he wanted to try to open a program.
So what's the name of this column? Yi Li thinks that although he doesn't talk much, he is very sensitive to data. For example, at the age of seven, he could write down 500 decimal places of pi, and won a series of first prizes in the national Olympic competition in middle school. After listening to this, the director thought for a moment and said, let's name it Yi Li Review Data. The positioning of the program is to apply the sensitivity of data to stock market investment and show it in the program.
The name and positioning of the program were thus determined, but neither of the two directors who cooperated with TV had been exposed to TV. In this way, Xu Yili also participated in the director, working with the two directors every day until after twelve o'clock, even without rest on weekends. Only two weeks later, a complete program sample was placed in front of the program director. After quickly passing the audit, Xu Yili began his career as a commentator for the next two years. Yi Li Review Data became one of the most popular programs broadcast in prime time, and became the first column broadcast under the title of enterprise on this channel.
"It is such a simple process", but in Xu Yili's understated description, it seems that we can see the hardships better. In the next year or so, there is a seemingly ordinary change for Xu Yili. In April 2008, the channel appointed Xu Yili as the assistant to the program director, which was a change from an ordinary employee to a leadership position, and the nature of his work also changed greatly. Xu Yili said that in the past, I thought about how to do my job well, but later I thought more about how to mobilize the enthusiasm of employees, give play to their strengths and improve the quality of the program.
Shortly after becoming the assistant director, the securities market has also undergone great changes, such as the opening of the through train of Hong Kong stocks, the opening of the warrant market, the upcoming launch of margin financing and stock index futures, the financial live broadcast program of CCTV channel running for two years, and the whole channel needs to be revised urgently. As an assistant director, Xu Yili's duty is to assist the program director to do the revision work.
The revision of the whole channel involves many things, and there are also many difficulties in the middle. For example, the eight-hour daytime live broadcast program needs to be modified and lengthened. The scheme design needs to include A shares, B shares, warrants, funds, Hong Kong stocks, peripheral stock markets, European and American stock markets, foreign exchange, futures and other markets. We should also consider the ability of the existing staff of the channel, design unrealistic programs that demand too much from the host, and the live list of the eight-hour live program design needs to be accurate to what to do in each frame.
In this regard, Xu Yili thought of the method of sub-regional live broadcast. For example, the live broadcast involving A shares is basically a host, and then the live broadcast involving Hong Kong stocks, and the camera is switched to another host in another region. This reduces the task requirements for each host (otherwise, a host can't stare at the program for hours), and the live broadcast output station only needs one device, which can save a lot of money.
This is just a programming. In the process of program rehearsal, the existing original program continues to be produced, and most of the manpower is occupied in the broadcast of the original program, and the rehearsal of the new program needs manpower. Xu Yili came up with many methods (such as recruiting a large number of interns) to overcome various difficulties. During the exercise, the positions of camera, director, editor, host and director need to be put in place immediately, and the contradictions between them need to be handled in a running-in manner. In Xu Yili's words, "revision is a kind of relationship between people." From June, 5438 to February, 2008, the channel live program was revised successfully, and Xu Yili also began to be the chief producer of the market live program.
After the program format is revised, it is necessary to provide support in the content of each paragraph of the market. In this regard, Xu Yili has also done a lot of work. In order to improve his sensitivity to the stock market, Xu Yili also manages money on behalf of customers in his spare time. From stocks to warrants, Xu Yili has been involved in various markets. From 2005 to 2007, Xu Yili earned 2000% every year and created his own investment method. Xu Yili defines himself as a "blue chip potential speculator".
