1In June, 942, the German fascist SS surrounded the village of Lidice near Prague, the Czech capital, and killed more than 40 male citizens 16. All the babies and women were taken to concentration camps, and 90 children were taken to a concentration camp in Poland (only 17 of them lived to the end of the war). All the houses and buildings in the village were burned or razed to the ground by bulldozers. In this way, a good village was destroyed by the fascist SS.
In order to mourn the children who died in the war in Lidice village and other parts of the world, to oppose the abuse and poisoning of children by imperialist warmongers, and to protect children's rights, the board of directors of the International Democratic Women's Federation held in Moscow, the Soviet capital, passed a resolution in 1 October, and formally decided that June1day would be a festival for children all over the world, that is, "June 1" International Children's Day.
At present, many countries in the world have designated June 1 day as Children's Day, which is called "International Children's Day". However, in European and American countries, the date of Children's Day is different, and public celebrations are rarely held.
