At present, there are seven carbon emissions trading companies approved by the National Development and Reform Commission, namely Beijing Environment Exchange, Tianjin Carbon Emissions Exchange, Shanghai Energy and Environment Exchange, Shenzhen Carbon Emissions Exchange, Guangzhou Carbon Emissions Exchange, Hubei Carbon Emissions Trading Center and Chongqing Carbon Emissions Trading Center.

Carbon emissions trading is an important mechanism to promote environmental protection by using market economy. The government stipulates that all enterprises have emission targets, which can be traded among enterprises, and enterprises with large emissions can buy from enterprises with small emissions.
