Introduction:
Shanghai Arbitration Commission was established in accordance with the Arbitration Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), and was established on September, 2008 1995.
Shanghai Arbitration Commission accepts and arbitrates contract disputes and other property rights disputes between natural persons, legal persons and other organizations with equal subjects independently, fairly and promptly in accordance with China laws, international practices and the rules of this Association.
Shanghai Arbitration Commission is composed of 13 legal, economic and trade experts and celebrities with practical work experience. Director Xu Qiang, Deputy Director Fang Xiong and Secretary General, Fang Lu, Wang Xinkui and Liu Jian. Xie, former vice president of People's Republic of China (PRC) the Supreme People's Court, former director of the Legal Affairs Committee of Shanghai Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, and Qiao Xianzhi, former vice president of Shanghai Higher People's Court, are honorary presidents. The office of Shanghai Arbitration Commission is the secretariat, which consists of case department, arbitration department, arbitration department, development department and administration department.
Arbitrators are composed of famous professors, researchers, senior economists, senior accountants, senior engineers, senior lawyers and people with rich experience in arbitration, trial and economic management, involving commerce, real estate, finance (including futures and insurance), quality, intellectual property, construction engineering, maritime affairs, international trade, transportation, companies, advertising, e-commerce and so on.
Shanghai Arbitration Commission accepts the arbitration application according to the arbitration agreement between the two parties, including the arbitration clause in the contract and the arbitration agreement reached in other written forms before or after the dispute occurs.
The scope of cases accepted by Shanghai Arbitration Commission is: contract disputes, real estate disputes, construction disputes, financial disputes (including insurance, futures, securities, financing and other disputes), product quality liability disputes, intellectual property disputes (including patents, copyrights, trademarks and other disputes), maritime disputes, transportation disputes and economic disputes such as international trade, international agency, international engineering projects, international investment and international technical cooperation.
