China Kindergarten Teacher Award Foundation (hereinafter referred to as "China Teacher Award Foundation") was proposed by Li Peng, then Vice Premier of the State Council and director of the State Education Commission, and was established on 1986 with the approval of the State Council. The competent unit of the Foundation is the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). As a bureau-level organization directly under the Ministry of Education, the Foundation Secretariat is responsible for the daily affairs of the Foundation under the leadership of the Council. Since the foundation was established, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Premier the State Council and other party and state leaders have met with the directors of the foundation for many times, caring about the foundation's construction and development.
