1, development history.
The University of National Defense Technology of Chinese People's Liberation Army, formerly known as China Institute of Military Engineering, was founded in Harbin, 1953. 1970 The main body of the college moved south to Changsha and was renamed Changsha Institute of Technology. From 65438 to 0978, under the direct leadership of President Deng Xiaoping, the school was transformed into National University of Defense Technology.
The National University of Defense Technology of PLA is a comprehensive military university directly under the Central Military Commission of China, and has always been a key institution for national and military construction. This school is the first batch of institutions in the State Council with the right to award master's and doctoral degrees, the first batch of institutions in China that try out graduate schools, one of the key construction projects of the First Five-Year Plan 156, and one of the 20 key universities in China identified by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
2. Teacher building.
The National University of Defense Technology of Chinese People's Liberation Army has a high-level faculty with leading talents and innovative teams, including 16 academicians of the two academies, 13 candidates for the "Ten Thousand Talents Program", 9 winners of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, 24 inspectors of the National Million Talents Project, national famous teachers and excellent teachers of the whole army 152, and 27 winners of the Military Excellent Professional and Technical Talents Award.
3. Specialty setting of departments.
At present, the National University of Defense Technology of PLA has computer college, art college, electronic science college, intelligent science college, system engineering college, frontier interdisciplinary college, aerospace science college, international relations college, electronic countermeasures college, information and communication college, meteorology and oceanography college, military basic education college, graduate school and the 63rd Institute. There are also 53 undergraduate majors (including sub-majors).
