1, Exam Overview The Japanese Proficiency Test was conducted by the Japan Foundation for International Exchange and its consortium, Japan Association for International Education Exchange, on 1984, and was specially held for learners whose mother tongue is not Japanese. The exam is divided into Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4, and Level 1 is approximately equivalent to the domestic undergraduate Japanese level. Each level of examination is divided into three parts: words and vocabulary, listening and reading grammar. In China, the examination is conducted by the Examination Cooperation Committee composed of China and Japan, and organized and implemented by the Examination Center of the State Education Commission. 3. Registration and examination time The registration time is September each year (please consult the test center for specific start and end dates). All China citizens with resident ID cards and foreigners with passports can register at the above test center within the specified time. Some test sites also accept letters and reports.

Candidates are required to bring their ID cards, pay the examination fee, take two small 2-inch photos and fill out an examination registration form. Candidates can only apply for one of the four levels at a time.

Generally, the annual examination time is the first Sunday of 65438+February (please consult the test center for the specific date). Candidates must take the test at the time and place designated by the test center. After the exam, the answer sheet will be sent to Japan for marking and grading.
