Is there any polymerizable metal? Do you have polymer metal? There are polymeric plastics, but I've never heard of polymeric metals. Is there such technology?
Traditionally, metals are not usually made by polymerization like plastics. Polymerization refers to the process that monomer molecules combine together to form polymer chains through chemical reactions. The structure and chemical properties of metals are different from those of polymers.

However, in recent years, some new concepts of metal polymers have appeared in the field of materials science. These materials are called "Metal Organic Frames" (MOFs) or "Metal Organic Frame Materials". MOFs is a crystal structure material composed of metal ions and organic ligands, with macroporous structure and high surface area.

MOFs shows potential application value in molecular adsorption, gas storage, catalytic reaction and so on. However, their synthesis process is different from polymerization, but the crystal structure is formed through the coordination reaction between ligands and metal ions.

It should be pointed out that there are differences in structure and properties between MOFs and traditional polymers, so MOFs can not be simply regarded as polymer metal. The physical and chemical properties of traditional metals are not suitable for making polymer metal materials similar to plastics directly through polymerization.

In short, although there are metal-organic framework materials (MOFs), in the traditional sense, metals are not polymerized to make materials.
