The National Social Science Fund includes Marxism, Scientific Socialism, Party History and Party Building, Philosophy, Theoretical Economy, Applied Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Law, International Studies, China History, World History, Archaeology, Ethnic Studies, Religious Studies, China Literature, Foreign Literature, Linguistics, Journalism and Communication, Library, Information and Documentation, Demography and Statistics. Twenty-three discipline planning review teams, such as management, and three separate disciplines, such as education, art and military science, have formed six categories of project funding systems, including major projects, annual projects, specially commissioned projects, post-funded projects, western projects and Chinese academic translation projects.
