Dr. Li Zhengqi's thesis was awarded as the first excellent doctoral thesis of Harbin Institute of Technology, and won the third prize (research category) of the eighth (2002) Fok Ying-tung College Young Teachers Education Fund. In 2004, he was shortlisted for the New Century Excellent Talents Support Program of the Ministry of Education, and won the 8th Heilongjiang Youth Science and Technology Award in 2007. Another scientific research project, "Wind-controlled dense and dilute pulverized coal combustion technology", won the second prize of national invention in 2000; "Wind-bag powder" series dense and thin pulverized coal combustion technology and its popularization won the first prize of Heilongjiang Province's scientific and technological progress in 2000; Horizontal dense-dilute pulverized coal combustion and horizontal dense-dilute air pulverized coal combustion technology won the outstanding scientific and technological achievements of the national key scientific and technological research plan in 200 1 ninth five-year plan. The application and development of swirl pulverized coal combustion technology with central powder feeding in 1025t/h lean coal boiler won the third prize of scientific and technological progress in Hebei province in 2005.
