Is the fund account the same as the securities account?
Funds are divided into OTC funds and OTC funds: OTC fund accounts and securities accounts are completely different accounts; On-site fund accounts are opened by investors when they open securities accounts, which can be considered as the same account. However, when investing in LOF funds and closed-end funds, a separate product share registration account (TA account) is required.
In short, whether you can directly invest in funds with securities accounts depends on the type of funds. Off-exchange fund account and securities account are not the same thing. At present, many securities companies sell off-exchange fund accounts on securities trading software. Investors can directly purchase funds through securities accounts, which does not mean that they are the same type of accounts. The system for docking securities accounts is China Securities Registration and Settlement System, and the OTC funds are docked with the fund company's own product share registration system.
