1October 25th, 1994, 10, five shareholders' representatives: Mai Jinhao, then president of China Construction Bank, Jiang Lemin, president of China Economic and Technological Investment Guarantee Company, Zheng, vice president of Singapore Government Investment Company, and Cha, managing director of Li Ming Group, gathered at Diaoyutai for a grand signing ceremony.

CICC was established from 65438 to 0995, with Wang Qishan as the first chairman and Lin Zhonggeng as the first CEO.

In the history of the founding of CICC, besides Wang Qishan, there were other directors, including Zhou Xiaochuan, Wang Xuebing, Zhang Enzhao, Wang Jianxi, Li Jiange, Jin Liqun and Ding Dongxue (current), who later served as chairman of the CSRC and governor of the central bank.
