AC Milan was founded in 1898, when it was called "Milan Football and Cricket Club". It had achieved good results in the early 20th century and won two or three national championships. In 1908, some players were dissatisfied with the team and separated, naming it "Inter Milan". AC Milan wears a red and black sword-striped shirt, sponsored by Adidas; Inter Milan wears a blue-black sword-striped shirt, sponsored by Nike. The two clubs use the San Siro Stadium, which Inter Milan calls the Meazza Stadium. Both teams have a glorious history and are currently strong contenders for the Serie A championship.
