In order to ensure the fairness of the project review, the project review must comply with the following avoidance regulations: 1) Full-time and part-time personnel of the Natural Science Foundation of China shall not apply for or participate in the application for the project; 2) Experts and staff participating in the review avoid immediate family members and the review of declared projects that may affect fairness; 3) Part-time staff of the Natural Science Foundation of China, peer review experts and members of the expert review team avoid the review and review of the declared projects that they and their units participate in; 4) Members of the expert review team and part-time experts of the Natural Science Foundation of China shall not attend the review meeting related to the project when they are the person in charge of the application project. 5) The applicant may put forward no more than three peer review experts who are not suitable for reviewing the application project (their subordinate units must be indicated) and explain the reasons for reference when selecting peer review experts.
