On June 65438+1October 65438+20231October, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other six departments jointly issued the "Action Plan for High-quality Development of Computing Infrastructure" (referred to as "Action Plan"), and put forward quantitative indicators for the development in the next three years from four aspects: computing capacity, carrying capacity, storage capacity and application empowerment. Industry experts said that the release of the action plan is expected to promote the rapid development of China's computing infrastructure, which is conducive to the improvement of the industry's prosperity, and the entire computing industry chain may usher in new incremental space.
The Action Plan released this time refines the indicators of computing infrastructure development in the next three years, and puts forward quantitative indicators of development by 2025 from four aspects: computing capacity, carrying capacity, storage capacity and application empowerment, so as to guide the high-quality development of computing infrastructure.
Specifically, the Action Plan proposes that by 2025, in terms of computing power, the scale of computing power will exceed 300EFLOPS (one billion floating-point operations per second), and the proportion of intelligent computing power will reach 35%, and the computing power of the east and the west will develop in a balanced and coordinated manner.
Introduction to computing power
Computing power is a new type of productivity that integrates information computing power, network carrying capacity and data storage power, and mainly provides services to the society through computing power infrastructure. Computing infrastructure is an important resource and infrastructure to support the development of digital economy. It is ubiquitous, intelligent, agile, safe and reliable, green and low-carbon, and plays an important role in realizing digital transformation, cultivating future industries and forming new kinetic energy for economic development.
Public Offering of Fund and other institutions have increased their layout in the computing industry in advance.
