2. The application form should be filled in with a pen or signature pen.
Writing should be correct and neat.
Application forms with incompletely filled in relevant columns, illegible handwriting, or alterations will be deemed as unqualified materials and may not be accepted by the relevant acceptance agency.
Please attach the photo to the original application form and make copies of the rest.
3. When filling out the application form, please fill it in truthfully according to the column requirements. The content should be detailed and accurate.
In the application form, please fill in the full and standardized information such as the name of your work unit, competent department, country where you are applying to study, name of administrative position and other relevant information.
4. When filling in the options, please put an “×” in the “□” for confirmation.
If the "Agree", "Disagree" options and the "Yes" and "No" options in the application form are not filled in, they will be deemed as "Disagree" or "No".
5. Filling in the relevant columns of the application form 1. Filling in the student number The "student number" on the first page of the application form is compiled by each accepting institution according to the combination of year, region or department and the applicant's serial number; the applicant does not need to fill it out.
2. When filling in the name of the accepting institution, the "Name of the accepting institution" should be filled in as "×× Province (Autonomous Region) Education Department", "×× Province (Autonomous Region) Personnel Department", "×× Municipal Education Commission", "×× Municipal Personnel Bureau"
Or the standardized names of central ministries and relevant units.
3. Name, date/time of filling in the date/time in "1. Basic information of the applicant" and "3. Foreign language level" on page 1 of the application form, such as "date of birth", "time to work", "exam"
Time", etc. should be filled in to "a certain day of a certain year and a certain month".
If the specific date is uncertain, it will be treated as the "1st" of the month.
The name and date of birth should be consistent with the applicant’s ID card.
4. Fill in the telephone/fax/mobile phone number. The telephone/fax/mobile phone number should be filled in accurately so that the China Scholarship Council can contact the applicant or the applicant's unit during the application, review, admission process and after admission.
Please be sure to fill in the "area code" before the telephone and fax numbers.
5. Fill in the required names and codes (categories): "Name of the major applied for studying abroad" and its category code, "Name of the key funded discipline" and its code, "Name of the country applied for studying abroad" and its code, "Name of the scholarship project applied for" and its code.
You can check it on the National Study Abroad website, such as: Application for study abroad major name Pathophysiology (Category Code) DA12.
Please fill in the 1st and 2nd digits (the first 2 digits in capital letters) of the "Major Code for Studying Abroad" into the "Applicant Fill-in" section in the "Subject Group Number" on page 1 of the application form, such as: DA--□

"Specific research direction" please fill in the topic you plan to study abroad or engage in scientific research.
6. When filling in the country you are applying to study in, please fill in the first and second countries you are applying to study in based on the "specific research direction".
"Country 1 for application to study abroad" can be filled in based on your personal wishes. "Country 2 for application to study abroad" is recommended for you to apply for countries other than the four countries "the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia".
7. To apply for study abroad status/subsidy period, you should choose one type according to the "Instructions", relevant project requirements and personal wishes when filling out "Application for Study Abroad Status". Multiple selections are not allowed.
Please select the "sponsorship period" within the scope of the specific "study abroad status" and according to your personal study/training plan abroad.
During the material review process, review experts and the Study Abroad Fund Committee may adjust your declared study abroad time based on your study plan.
When applying for exchange scholarship programs with relevant countries, all officially enrolled master's/undergraduate students should apply to study abroad as "master's transfer student" or "undergraduate transfer student".
If the applicant's "Application for Study Abroad Status" is unreasonable, the NSFC will negotiate with the applicant as appropriate and make corresponding adjustments.
8. When filling in the foreign language proficiency, the "first foreign language" language should be the first foreign language that the applicant chooses to learn besides Chinese during his higher education.
Regardless of whether the foreign language proficiency meets the standard, the foreign language proficiency certificate presented by the applicant when applying should be a valid score.
For example, WSK and PETS5 scores should be obtained within 2 years before application; the completion certificate of relevant language advanced class training designated by the Ministry of Education’s Study Abroad Personnel Training Department should be obtained within 2 years before application; other types of foreign language proficiency test scores should be within the validity period of the corresponding type of test scores

Regardless of whether the "first foreign language" level reaches the standard or not, only one item can be selected as proof, and multiple selections are not allowed.

9. Regarding filling in items "3)" and "4)" in "7. Other instructions" on page 2 ① Regarding item "3)": During the admission process, the NSFC may base on the admission plan and review for that year.
Based on expert opinions and the applicant's own opinions, the country of study abroad declared by the applicant will be adjusted.
Please make your choice carefully whether you agree to adjust the reporting country.
If you agree to the adjustment, you will not be allowed to request reassignment after being admitted.
For example, "Agree to be arranged to other countries with the same language" means that the applicant agrees to the China Scholarship Council to adjust the country of study to other countries with the same language other than the first/second choice, that is, the applicant can use the first foreign language as a working language.
