Internal local organization

There are unofficial groups among the members of the Sierra Club, who intend to influence the principles and policies of the Sierra Club by electing candidates for the Council. Some of these groups are listed below in alphabetical order:

* johnmuillivies-a member who wants the club to take a tougher stance on issues such as forest protection and club administrative certification procedures. It is separated from the John Muir Mountains.

* john muir Sheila (no website)-It was founded in the 1990s by members Jim Bensman, Roger Clarke, David Dillworth, Chad Hansen and David Orr, with the aim of changing the community's mind, supporting the zero logging policy on public land and supporting the retirement of the Glen Canyon Dam. On these two points, JMS has successfully changed the status of the community.

:: Tsunami Sierra Club (no website)-members allied with most former directors were established in 2004. Groundswell had an influence in the elections in 2004 and 2005, mainly by sending campaign emails to millions of Sierra Club members. Groundswell's email supports the list of candidates approved by the nomination Committee within the organization. Groundswell's information also appeared on the websites of several branches and groups, which caused people's complaints about using the Sierra Club website for internal canvassing. All the candidates who were elected in those two years won the support of the masses, and they all won by a huge margin. After the election in 2005, the leaders of Groundswell Sierra announced that the organization would go into a dormant state.

:: Democracy in Sierra Leone-opposing "conservative" members of the community and supporting the rights of groups such as SUSPS and JML. The website was specially designed for the 2004 Council election and has not been updated since then.

* Susps-I hope the club will support the members of the stable American population by overturning the resolution 1996 that the club "does not take a position" on the immigration issue.
