At present, the college has three majors: light chemical industry (leather direction, dyeing and finishing direction), garment (leather products, including shoes, bags and leather goods) design and engineering, and environmental engineering. Among them, leather chemistry and engineering has the right to award doctoral and master's degrees, and has a postdoctoral mobile station for leather chemistry and engineering. Environmental science and engineering have the right to award master's degrees in first-class disciplines, while clothing (leather products), environmental engineering and environmental science have the right to award master's degrees in two disciplines. In addition to recruiting doctoral students, master students and undergraduates, the college also provides various modes of running schools for the society, such as continuing (adult) education, professional certificate classes, self-study exams and short-term training.

There are three departments of leather engineering, environmental engineering, textile (dyeing and finishing) and clothing (leather products), leather engineering training center and precision instrument analysis and testing center. The college has a team of teachers with reasonable knowledge, age and title structure, with 5 full-time teachers and 42 people with master's degree or above, including 8 professors, 8 associate professors and 8 doctors. There are 75 research projects completed and under way in the past three years, including 35 national and provincial research projects such as National Natural Science Foundation, 1 1 above the provincial level, and 264 papers published by * * *, including 65 papers collected by SCI, EI and ISTP, 22 academic monographs and teaching materials, and 8 provincial excellent teaching achievement awards.

The college has advanced teaching and experimental equipment, and the leather (technology) engineering training center is a key laboratory at the ministerial level. There are also leather physical and chemical performance analysis and testing centers, precision instrument laboratories, footwear testing technology laboratories, chemical analysis laboratories, leather products laboratories, fur laboratories, dyeing and finishing laboratories and environmental laboratories to meet the needs of professional practice teaching and scientific research. The academic lecture hall, computer network center, multi-functional exhibition room, multimedia classroom and reference room of the college can provide good conditions for teaching.

In the long-term practice of running a school, the college has established friendly and cooperative relations with its counterparts at home and abroad. The Eastern Region Research Center of the US Department of Agriculture, the protein Research Center of Dartmouth University, the Leather Research Center of the Australian Academy of Sciences, the Lyon Leather Research Institute of France, the National Leather Research Center of the United Kingdom, and NENE of the United Kingdom all have regular academic exchanges and scholars' visits with our institute; China leather Industry Association, Germany Lanxess Company, Germany BASF Company, Beijing KATTO Science and Technology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Pilca Le (Fuyi) Chemical Co., Ltd., Swiss Colijn Company, Sichuan Desaire Chemical Co., Ltd. and Hebei Yutai Company set up scholarships, research funds, education funds, student internship scholarships and grants for needy students in the College of Resources and Environment, with an annual amount of more than 500,000 yuan. Italian Unitech, Shandong Zibo Dahuan Jiubaoen Group, Zhejiang Haining Shangyuan, Hebei Dongming Leather, Guangdong Demeiting River, lowenstein and other companies invested * * * to build laboratories in the college, and Beijing KATTO Company, Anta Company and Red Dragonfly Group set up postgraduate training bases in the college. Large enterprises and colleges in Guangdong, Shandong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai and Fujian have established research institutions and practice bases.
