The general project is the main part of the research project series of the National Natural Science Foundation, which supports the scientific and technical personnel engaged in basic research to independently select topics within the scope of the National Natural Science Foundation's funding, carry out innovative scientific research, and promote the balanced, coordinated and sustainable development of various disciplines. (1) Free application projects are the main part of the work funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, accounting for more than 80% of the total funds of general funded projects. Centralized acceptance and review once a year; (2) The Youth Science Fund project is the same as the free application project in terms of topic selection and application procedures, but the applicant must be a young scientist under the age of 35, obtain a doctoral degree (or have an intermediate title or above), be able to independently carry out research work, have active academic thinking and have a pioneering and innovative spirit; (3) The regional science fund project is a fund specially established to support the scientific research work of research institutions and institutions of higher learning affiliated to remote, ethnic minorities and areas with weak scientific foundation. At present, ten provinces and autonomous regions, including Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Tibet, Guangxi, Hainan, Guizhou, Jiangxi and Yunnan, and Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture have been supported by the Regional Science Fund. Since 20 12, five ethnic autonomous prefectures, including Enshi in Hubei, Xiangxi in Hunan, Liangshan in Sichuan, Ganzi and Aba, have been included in the areas supported by the regional science fund.
