On this day approaching the "June 1" International Children's Day, good news came from Beijing. At the 2019 "Girls Protection" sixth anniversary celebration and the fourth local team training and exchange meeting, Jingmen, Hubei For the third consecutive year, the Volunteer Alliance team was named the National Excellent Team for Girls’ Protection! Five lecturers including Long Quan, He Xiaocheng, Wang Zhen, Liang Huan, and Wang Zhiqiong were awarded the title of “Excellent Volunteers” for Girls’ Protection.

Being named the National Excellent Girl Protection Team for three consecutive years, this honor makes the girls in Jingmen full of excitement and sigh. Looking back at the journey, this heavy report card records honors, but also persistence and dedication. On June 1, 2013, under the initiative of hundreds of female journalists including teacher Sun Xuemei, the National "Girls Protection" was officially established. With the purpose of "popularizing and raising awareness of child prevention", it is committed to protecting children from sexual assault. In September 2015, the Jingmen Volunteer Federation signed a cooperation agreement with the Girls’ Protection Fund to establish a girls’ protection project team and work with local team partners across the country to contribute to the cause of child protection.

Over the past three years, the number of volunteer lecturers in the Jingmen volunteer team who have passed the Girl Child Protection Fund assessment has increased from 1, to 6, to 61. Among them, there are teachers, entrepreneurs, civil servants, and college students. Among them are colleagues, classmates, and relatives.

Over the past three years, the Jingmen volunteer team has continued to expand. On the basis of the existing urban groups, the Shayang group and the Jingshan group have blossomed everywhere. They have also gone out of Jingmen to assist the Girls Protection Fund headquarters in Hubei Province. Other counties and cities promote girl child protection projects.

Over the past three years, the Jingmen volunteer team has taught in more than 51 primary schools (kindergartens) in urban and rural areas, benefiting 13,948 students and achieving full school coverage in 16 schools; it has conducted more than 10 parent classes and trained parents 1072 people.

On this same day, on this breezy early summer evening, more than 20 members of the girls’ protection team gathered at the Tupperware Lilac Garden store to hold a girls’ protection lesson plan exchange meeting and projector donation ceremony.

Why are you gathering here? Because home is here. When the lovely Teacher Chengzi was preparing to open the store, she resolutely rented two floors. The first floor was for commercial use, and the second floor was used as a base for girls’ protection, where they could hold meetings, practice classes, team-building, take care of children, etc., becoming a place for girls’ protection volunteers. Who is gathering here? A group of lovely people, a group of people who believe that the world is a better place because of their existence. The gentle and elegant CITIC Prudential General Manager brought her elite sales team, and more than ten key members joined in, bringing fresh blood to the girls’ protection project. CITIC Prudential also became the first group volunteer unit for girls’ protection in Jingmen. There were also three first-year girls who were enthusiastic about charity. What are you doing here? Professionals do professional things. We are equipped with professional equipment, and CITIC Prudential specially donated projectors to the girls’ team on site, making it easier for the lecturers to sharpen and prepare lessons. We conducted professional training. Teacher Chengzi promoted the girl child protection project, and Teacher Gao Ming trained the teaching assistants and clarified the participation process, work disciplines and precautions.
