Brief introduction of Pan Anlian
Professor Pan graduated from the Institute of Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2006, and later joined the School of Physics and Microelectronics Science of Hunan University. At the end of the same year, he went to Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics in Germany to engage in Humboldt scholars' visiting research. In 2007, he joined the Photonics Research Center of Arizona State University, and then obtained the position of assistant research professor. In 2009, Professor Pan was selected by distinguished professor, a "Lotus Scholar" in Hunan Province, and was selected into the New Century Talents Program of the Ministry of Education, and was supported by the Hunan Outstanding Youth Fund. The scientific and technological innovation team of Hunan Nano-Optoelectronic University and the provincial key laboratory of micro-nano structural physics and applied technology were established one after another. Professor Pan has made many internationally influential research achievements in the fields of semiconductor nanostructure energy band engineering, nano optical waveguide and nano laser research, and his research work has been reported by international academic media such as Science Daily and IOP for many times. He has published more than 90 papers in internationally renowned journals such as Nanolett. JACS, and applied for two American patents. The research results won the first prize of natural science in Hunan Province (ranking first) and other academic awards, and were invited to write summary papers for well-known publications such as Advanced Materials and IEEE JSTQE. Professor Pan is currently a member of American Materials Society and American Optical Society, a senior member of China Micro-Nano Society, a director of Hunan Physical Society, and a guest editor of Frontier of Optoelectronics magazine.
