1998 The World Health Organization designated the annual World Osteoporosis Day as10/0/October 20th, which was initiated by the British National Osteoporosis Society on 1996 and supported by the International Osteoporosis Foundation on 1997.
At that time, June 24th of each year was designated as the World Osteoporosis Day, with the purpose of providing a very important focus message for those governments and people who lack sufficient attention to the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis, and carrying out universal education and information transmission.
